We answered

Dear

TfL Ref: FOI-1145-1718

Thank you for your email received by us on 11 August 2017 asking for information about London Underground FT staff. I apologise for the delay in providing this response.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

Last year a record 1.378 billion passenger journeys were made on the Tube network. Following the successful introduction of all-night services on the Central and Victoria lines in August 2016, services were extended to the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines. We fulfilled the Mayor’s pledge to have Night Tube services running on five lines by the end of 2016.

Night Tube is supporting and helping London maintain its status as a vibrant and exciting place to live, work and visit. Over eight million customers have already used Night Tube to get to and from work or on a night out. Demand continues to grow as more and more Londoners and visitors take advantage of the new opportunities opened up by Night Tube services.

Our Fit for the Future programme delivered real improvements in the way that we provide customer service. We’ve deployed staff in ticket halls, at ticket machines, gatelines and on platforms, where they are more accessible and available to help customers, particularly those who may require extra assistance. We have also improved station environments, upgraded ticket machines and put in place better customer information systems.
