We still haven't received the hard copy of the law that covers resident congestion charging that we requested in our previous email. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, will you please either email this to us or send a hard copy to the address we provided previously.

Thank you for your request of 15th September 2020 asking for information about the congestion charge.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. 

Specifically you asked to “…see the Law that covers resident congestion charging”.

Transport for London is empowered under schedule 23 of the Greater London Authority Act 1999 (see https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1999/29/schedule/23) to make variations to its road charging schemes. The changes made this June were carried out under a variation order published in the Consolidated Scheme Order at https://www.london.gov.uk/decisions/md2648-temporary-changes-congestion-charge.

In accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply you with a copy of the requested information as it is already accessible to you elsewhere.
