Thank you for your email received by us on 05 August 2017 asking for information about Taxi and Private Hire (TPH) drivers licenses.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Acts and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked:

“Please advise since 01/11/2016 how many of your tph Compliance officers who you have on boarded were required to surrender a PH drivers license and also for taxi drivers

For reference I would like a breakdown on both PH and for Taxi”

We have had 10 Private Hire (PHV) drivers and 6 Taxi drivers who have returned their licenses and badges to TfL to become Compliance Officers.
