Reports of sexual assaults on public transport

I am writing to make an open government request for all the information to which I am entitled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Please send me:
Statistics showing how many reports of sexual assault were received on public transport between 2014 - 2016.
This includes Southern Rail, South West Trains, Thameslink and the Tube.
If possible, also statistics demonstrating how many of these cases were recommended or referred to the police.
I would like the above information to be provided to me as Microsoft Excel spreadsheets/PDFs etc. please.
If this request is too wide or unclear, I would be grateful if you could contact me as I understand that under the Act, you are required to advise and assist requesters.
If any of this information is already in the public domain, please can you direct me to it, with page references and URLs if necessary.

Thank you for your requests received on 5 August 2017 asking for information about reports of sexual assaults and trespassing on our network.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we hold some of the information you require. You asked for:
Statistics showing which rail tracks in which locations are the highest reported areas of trespassing between 2014 - 2016. Additionally, how these reports were resolved. For example, how many referred to the police, ended in death etc.
We do not hold the information you have requested. The British Transport Police (BTP) who are responsible for policing on the rail network and may hold the information you require. You can submit an FOI request to the BTP via their website: www.btp.police.uk/foi.

We produce and publish a quarterly and annual bulletin of crime and incident statistics on our website. The bulletin brings together crime statistics from the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) and BTP to provide a summary of recorded crime relating to our public transport networks.
It includes data on reported sexual offences across the London bus network, London Underground, Docklands Light Railway and the London Overground Service. Full year statistics for 2014-2016 can be found at https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/crime-and-incident-bulletins.
In accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, TfL is not obliged to supply you with a copy of the requested information as it is already accessible to you elsewhere.
We do not take or retain reports of sexual assaults. Victims of sexual offences are encouraged to report the offence directly to the police so that it can be investigated. Sexual offence data is provided by the police as part of routine reporting and performance monitoring.
