2. The total cash amount of Job Retention Scheme disbursements that your organisation has received.

Our ref: FOI-0994-2122/GH Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 12 August 2021 asking for information about the Job Retention Scheme. Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require. Please include the following information from the commencement of the Job Retention Scheme in 2020 to present: 1. The total number of staff your organisation has furloughed. 7501 employees 2. The total cash amount of Job Retention Scheme disbursements that your organisation has received £57,687,369.81. Please note this information is published in our Annual Report (https://content.tfl.gov.uk/tfl-annual-report-9-august-2021-acc.pdf- see page 153). TfL’s participation in the Government Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme ended on 2 December 2020. In addition to furloughing staff whose work was reduced, paused or stopped due to the coronavirus pandemic, TfL also furloughed staff who needed to shield because of the pandemic or those who were on long-term sick leave. There were therefore some instances where individuals were furloughed as they were unable to carry out their work.
