Thank you for your request received on 28 July 2021 asking for information about taxi licensing.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require. You asked:
1. The Licensing Manager's contact details including telephone number and email address.
We are the licensing authority, and regulator, for taxi drivers and vehicles, as well as private hire drivers, vehicles and operators in London.
We have numerous licensing managers. Due to the pandemic we are offering an email led customer service. The email address is [email protected].
2. The Digital Transformation Manager's contact details including telephone number and email address. 3. The IT Manager's contact details including telephone number and email address.
If you are referring to the Digital Transformation and IT managers for the licensing system, there are numerous managers both within TfL and our contractor, Marston Holdings, that cover these responsibilities. As explained above, due to the pandemic we are offering an email led customer service. Should you have any specific queries regarding TfL’s licensing systems, please email [email protected].
4. Details of your current licensing platform including expiry date, contract cost and duration of the contract.
The Taxi and Private Hire licensing platform forms part of our end to end Licensing Service contract. Our contract is with Marston Holdings and includes vehicle licensing and inspection services and a CRM information technology system. The contract value over its life is banded between £50-£100m for all Licensing Services (inspection and systems) and expires on 27 February 2023.
