Request ID: FOI-0811-2324 Date published: 05 July 2023
You asked
Can you please send me all of the risk assessments, consultations and reasoning behind your decisions for making this odd protruding extension of your zone this exact shape into Harefield? Why did you exclude the outdoor open spaces around our village green but include the GP Surgery and car park?
Please send me everything you have that is relevant to the Harefield region of the proposed ULEZ expansion.
We answered
TfL Ref: FOI-0811-2324
Thank you for your request which we received on 12 June 2023, asking for risk assessments, consultations and reasoning for the proposed ULEZ extension in Harefield.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Information Regulations and our information access policy.
Unfortunately we do not hold the information you require. We do not have the specific documents and information you have requested.
However, on the rationale for the proposed ULEZ boundary, the London-wide ULEZ Report to Mayor response A2 (pg. 76) states “The proposed boundary for the London-wide ULEZ is the same as the current LEZ boundary for heavy vehicles. The LEZ boundary has proven to be an effective boundary for the LEZ scheme and provides drivers with appropriate routes to avoid entering the zone if they do not comply with required emissions standards.”
With regard to the outdoor open spaces, please refer to the information above. The boundary has been chosen to allow drivers coming from outside Greater London with appropriate routes to avoid entering the zone.
For more information about the scheme, please read the Integrated Impact Assessment which covers the impact on Greater London, which Harefield is part of.
I am sorry I’m not able to help you further on this occasion.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
