I am writing in regards to the new legal CBD oil that is available for pain, although derived from the marijuana plant it contains no impurities or thc so it gives no high. I would like to know please if this is something your employees will be able to take as I am aware that random drug tests are done. It gives an alternative to pain medications that can cause drowsiness.

The safety of employees and customers is of paramount importance. A major factor in this respect is the ability of those who work for us to carry out their jobs safely, effectively and to the best of their ability. As part of this, employees working for TfL are subject to the TfL drug and alcohol policy. Employees who had been using cannabis oils would test positive during a drugs and alcohol test and the use of these products would not provide a valid reason to excuse the positive result.
