You asked

Can you please explain why turn up and go standards for London Overground and suburban rail in the previous Mayor's Transport Plan have been removed from the new Draft Mayor's Transport Plan? Please provide any reports, emails, notes or correspondance relating to the decision to remove these targets:

We answered

TfL Ref: FOI-0787-1718

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 28 June 2017 asking for information about Overground and National Rail turn up and go standards.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do not hold the information you require.

The new draft Mayor’s Transport Strategy (MTS) was drafted as a higher level, more strategic and shorter document than the last one.

The vision and aims of the new strategy clearly imply improving the quality of rail services and this would cover the frequency of trains and the timing of first and last trains. Some areas of the new strategy in fact go further than this such as by providing services through the night to help support London’s night time economy.

However, there was no particular focus on the ‘removal of the targets’ you refer to and so we do not hold any reports, emails, notes or correspondence relating to the decision to remove these targets. The Draft Mayor’s Transport Strategy is out for consultation at the moment and comments on the document are welcome via https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/policy/mayors-transport-strategy/

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
