Request for record of road closures aorund Baker Street/Marylebone Road

Request ID: FOI-0737-1920
Date published: 19 June 2019

You asked

I would like to request any records you have of roads that were partially or fully closed on 07/05/19 within a mile radius around Baker Street and Marylebone Road. I was driving towards this area (approaching from regents park) and had planned to turn right before reaching Marylebone Road. However, there were temporary road signs restricting me from turning right on two consecutive roads, which forced me to drive in to the congestion charging zone. As a result of this I received a PCN, which I am now appealing and need to collect evidence for. I am therefore under a restrictive time scale, and would appreciate as quick as response as possible.

Thank you for your email received by Transport for London (TfL) on 11 June 2019.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy.  You asked:

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested. We have no record of any Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) in force on 7 May 2019 for full or partial closure of any roads on the Transport for London Road Network (TLRN) in Westminster. Please note that the City of Westminster would issue TROs for all the roads which fall under their control.

If it helps, I have attached details of all road works which were ongoing within the City of Westminster Borough boundary on the date in question.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
