4. For 2019 how many PCNs for this type of contravention were issued to vehicles issued with (i) British Gas, (ii) British Telecom, (iii) Thames Water, (iv) The Royal Mail and (v) Transport for London, (vi) Tesco, (vii) Asda, (viii) Ocado, (ix) Waitrose, (x) Sainsburys and (xi) Iceland.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 23 July 2020 asking for information about penalty charge notices (PCNs).
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require. You asked:
1. For the calendar year 2019 please state how many Penalty Charge Notices have been issued because of box junction contraventions?
2. What has been the cost of a PCN for this type of offence in 2019?
3. For 2019 which five sites have been responsible for the most PCNs? Please give a description of where the junction is and how many PCNs were issued for that site.
4. For 2019 how many PCNs for this type of contravention were issued to vehicles issued with (i) British Gas, (ii) British Telecom, (iii) Thames Water, (iv) The Royal Mail and (v) Transport for London, (vi) Tesco, (vii) Asda, (viii) Ocado, (ix) Waitrose, (x) Sainsburys and (xi) Iceland.
Please find this data attached for questions 1, 3 and 4. There we no PCNs issued to Waitrose or Transport for London.
For question 2, PCNs for this type of road contravention are issued at a statutory rate of £130. If a penalty is paid within 14 days of the date of issue, a 50% discount is applied.
