What historical records does TFL hold from London Regional Transport on weight limits on Foresters Drive in Wallington and the adjoining Plough Lane in Purley. Please may I have the details of such weight limit history including the specified weight limits and extents of them i.e. where they started and stopped along the roads. I'm particularly interested in the period from 1995 to 2000.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 15th June 2022 asking for information about road weight limits.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“What historical records does TFL hold from London Regional Transport on weight limits on Foresters Drive in Wallington and the adjoining Plough Lane in Purley. Please may I have the details of such weight limit history including the specified weight limits and extents of them i.e. where they started and stopped along the roads. I'm particularly interested in the period from 1995 to 2000.”
I am afraid that so far as I have been able to ascertain TfL does not hold the requested information (having checked with all relevant colleagues, including our Corporate Archives team). Note that these roads do not for part of the current Transport for London Road Network (TLRN - sometimes know as the ‘red routes’), which accounts for about 5% of London’s roads only - see here for more information:
Most roads in London, including the two you cite, are managed by local councils. I would therefore suggest that you pursue the matter with Sutton Council (in respect of Foresters Drive) and Croydon Council (in respect of Plough Lane).
