Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 30 June2020 asking for information about the future plans for our buses.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require.

We continue to keep the bus network under review and so will be continuing to make changes to frequencies and routes. Changes to frequencies will be advised here https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/buses/bus-changes?intcmp=47904 . These includes changes that we have recently made to ensure the safety of customers and bus drivers.

Any proposals for permanent structural changes to routes will be subject to usual consultation, including on the consultations area on our website. https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/

From time to time we do make temporary changes to routes, mainly due to roadworks, and these are advertised locally and on our website  https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/buses/bus-changes?intcmp=47904  These changes normally only last for a few weeks.

In accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply you with a copy of the requested information as it is already accessible to you elsewhere.

Please note the Government has announced a series of measures to tackle the Coronavirus. It is essential for London, and in particular for all critical workers, that we continue to provide a safe transport network that enables them to make the journeys they need to.

In current circumstances, we are not able to answer FOI requests readily and we ask that you please do not make a request to us at present.

Answering FOI requests will require the use of limited resources and the attention of staff who could be supporting other essential activity. In any event, please note that our response time will be affected by the current situation.
