1 Conway is a contractor that has appeared all over Westminster. They have been awarded contracts to A replace trafi lightest B paving stones C resurface roads etc. A large number of these operations are being undertaken at the same time.Jobs are not being finished roads are partially blocked for weeks and months making congestion and pollution worst and life for Londoners more difficult . Apart form increasing pollution and the illnesses that flow from it there are other cost consequences to the tax payer. Three simple questions: 1 What was the process undertaken to award these contractual works to Conway? 2 Was there a tender? 3 Who supervises the works and whose interests are the supervisors protecting?

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy.

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested. The contract with Conway was taken between them and Westminster City Council (WCC) and therefore WCC would hold the requested information. If you could please contact them directly:

We have a separate contract under the London Highways Alliance Contract (LOHAC) to carry our any necessary works on the TfL Road Network (TLRN) for which we are responsible. More information on LOHAC is available online:
