Cheshunt station passenger numbers

You asked
Dear TfL, via EIA regulations, please provide any data you have that estimates passenger volumes at Cheshunt that use London Overground services.
We are trying to get a proper picture of demand for the line, but have no statistics for passenger flows at Cheshunt. The ORR stats showing 2,369,724 entries and exits at Cheshunt for Overground and Mainline services for the last period are not helpful.
If you do not have this information, is this something that you plan to obtain? Our area of interest is that we have identified that passenger volumes on the Cheshunt branch are now 75% of the Enfield Town Branch, whereas prior to the TfL takeover, those volumes were running consistently at 50% since records began. It would be a material fact for service planning if, for example, there were 300,000 entries and exits at Cheshunt for London Overground, pushing the branch to 83% of the volume of the Enfield Town Branch despite service frequency being 50% of the Enfield Town branch.
This is relevant because the existing peak frequency of 4tph to Enfield Town and 2tph to Cheshunt made sense at previous passenger volumes, but the existing stats, excluding Cheshunt, suggest that 4tph Enfield Town and 3tph Cheshunt would be better matched to demand. If Cheshunt is included, parity will be achieved earlier on the present trajectory.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 8 May 2019 asking for information about Cheshunt station passenger volumes for those using our London Overground services.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require.
Please see below for the annualized totals from annual counts for Cheshunt station for the 2017 period for London Overground. This annualised data comes from our long established annual counts process which uses gate count data (as well as other inputs) through processing to arrive at an annualized figure for station entry and exits. We are working on Annual Counts for 2018 but they are not ready yet finalised.
As all services use the same ticket barriers at Cheshunt station, we are unable to split Overground entries/exits out from overall station entries exits which includes National Rail.
