We answered

Our ref: FOI-0402-2324/GH

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 10 May 2023 asking for information about an RMT tweet.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.

I can confirm that we do hold the information you require – TfL has not arranged and is not planning to arrange for Wolverhampton Compliance Officers to come to London.

Were a need to arise, the Department for Transport Statutory Taxi & Private Hire Vehicle Standards do provide, at 9.2, provision for joint authorisation of officers from other authorities so that compliance and enforcement action can be taken against licensees from outside their area.

If this is not the information you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact me.

If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
