Thank you for your email received by us on 10 May 2017 asking for information about potholes on Baker’s Lane.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our Information Access Policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you requested. You asked for:
Dates of all safety inspections undertaken on the carriageway during the last 12 months
Please see ‘0000A1___9/00084’ on the attached spreadsheet.
Details of all carriageway defects identified during safety inspections during the last 12 months
No carriageway defects have been raised on that section of Baker’s Lane.
Details of how carriageway safety inspections are undertaken, including whether walked or driven, the speed of the inspection vehicle and the number of persons in the vehicle.
Carriageway safety inspections are visually undertaken on foot by a safety inspector from the footway, there is no driven inspection for that particular section.
The intended frequency of carriageway safety inspections.
This section is inspected monthly.

2) A pothole 30mm or deeper over 100sqcm elsewhere.

Whether or not the authority has formally adopted all or part of the standards contained within the national code of practice for highways maintenance management.
We’ve fully adopted the current standards. We’re also working towards compliance for the revised edition of the standards (if we’re not compliant already) which are due to be implemented next year.
