We answered

Our ref: FOI-0338-1718/GH

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 16 May 2017 asking for information about Yellow Box Junction Penalty charge notices.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold some of the information you require.

1)How many Yellow Box Junction Penalty charge notices (PCN) have been issued to TFL buses at this location EUSTON ROAD/JUDD STREET/MIDLAND ROAD between 6/12/2016 to 5/12/2017?

This information is not held. Bus services in London are operated on TfL’s behalf by a number of bus operating companies. Any penalties issued to buses would be issued to the relevant bus operator, who do not just own buses, they have multiple other vehicles registered in their company name. When issuing a PCN, we do not record the vehicle type, and therefore we do not hold information specifically regarding PCNs issued to buses at this location.

2)Do you issue PCN to TFL buses at this location?

The highway code and rules of the road apply to all vehicles on our roads including buses.

3)On the 6/12/2016 a bus was stopped in the box junction between the times 16.46.37 to 16.47.03.. See PCN GT65327615 which refers. Was this bus issued with a PCN?

We have no record of any PCNs issued at this box junction during the times specified in your request.
