Protracted reduced 30mph limit on A40 Greenford

You asked
When do you intend to carry out the repairs to the barriers on the A40 between Greenford Flyover and the Target Roundbout? The reducedlimit has been in place for 6 months or more. You have previously indicated that the works is necessary but have failed to identify any timescale to commence.et alone complete these works.
This is one of the main arterial routes in to London and this lack of action causes unnecessary traffic congestion and therefore pollution. Why have you been so tardy?
Pleas provide a timescale to execute these works.

Thank you for your e-mail received on 8 May 2018 asking for information about the temporary speed restriction on the A40.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and TfL’s information access policy.
Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested. The speed restriction has been put into place 24 hours a day 7 days a week on the A40 between Target and Greenford for the safety of road users. A recent inspection has highlighted issues with the condition of the barrier and as such we have put a speed restriction in place to mitigate the risk in the event of a vehicular incident at the location until such time as the barrier can be replaced. At present we do not have a current timeline for the works, we will continue to take any necessary mitigating action to limit the disruption caused whilst ensuring the safety of all road users.
