Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm we do hold the information you require. You asked:

1) how many injuries took place on TFL due to falling between the tube and the platform in 15/16 and 16/17 on the new S7 Stock trains?

S7 stock was fully introduced on the District line on 21 April 2017 when the last D stock ran in service. S7 stock has been running on both the Hammersmith & City and Circle lines fully since 2014 therefore the accuracy of the reports for ‘Fall Down the Gap’ incidents on these two lines is correct. 

Unfortunately, because the D stock and the S Stock were running on the District line over the period that you are making, the District line information is less accurate as it relies on the report writer to complete the stock type.

As a matter of caution, we have included the ‘Fall Down the Gap’ injuries on the District line over the period where no stock type has been specified.

2015/16 - A total of 24 injuries due to falls down the gap with the new S7 Stock were recorded on the District line and 20 on the Hammersmith & City line.

2016/17 – A total of 20 injuries were recorded on the District line and nine on the Hammersmith & City line.

2) Can I please have the number of falls on the S7 stock train between the tube and platform broken down by tube stations.

Please see the attached spreadsheet. Please note the table shows the number of ‘Falls Down the Gap’ incidents whether an injury was sustained or not, hence the difference in numbers.
