“..any and all statistical information (and related documentation) from the past 12 months detailing Transport for London’s financial income and expenditure in respect of private hire licensing, compliance and enforcement. Within the above request, particular information sought are the reasons or justifications for the fee increases proposed within the ‘Private Hire Operator Licence Fees Consultation’ Notice 07/17. “

The 2016/17 summary will be published once it is finalised in autumn of this year.

In terms of the information you have requested regarding our proposed changes to operator fees, we have published a press release and consultation materials at the following location: https://tfl.gov.uk/info-for/media/press-releases/2017/april/proposed-changes-to-private-hire-operator-licence-fees.

These clearly set out our compliance cost projections for the taxi and private hire trade over the next five years and the reasons for our proposals to change the London private hire operator’s fees so that they accurately reflect the costs of administering and enforcing a high quality service.

Therefore, in accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to provide you with the information requested as it is accessible to you elsewhere.
