Request ID: FOI-0278-2223 Date published: 30 May 2022
You asked
Please identify the reason why the response to FOI-2919-2122 identified a 2013 edition of the geographical connections map as being the latest whereas the earlier response to FOI-0525-1920 identified a 2014 edition. Are more recent editions being withheld on security grounds?
We answered
TfL Ref: FOI-0278-2223
Thank you for your request of 7th May 2022 asking for information about a geographically accurate London Underground map.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“Please identify the reason why the response to FOI-2919-2122 identified a 2013 edition of the geographical connections map as being the latest whereas the earlier response to FOI-0525-1920 identified a 2014 edition. Are more recent editions being withheld on security grounds?”
I can confirm that the latest version of the map dates from 2014, and that TfL has not produced anything equivalent since that time. The 2013 version of the map issued in response to FOI-2919-2122 was done so in error, simply because the case officer was not aware that a 2014 version had superseded the copy they already had in their possession from having answered other cases previously. The differences between the two versions are minimal.
