Our Ref:         FOI-0236-1920

Thank you for your request received on 18 April 2019 asking for information about the cost of the Oxford Street Project.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require.

The Oxford Street project had an estimated final cost (EFC) of £92.9m with £9.9m spent on developing the scheme, including £1.5m spent on delivering new and improved facilities for pedestrians and cyclists at six junctions along Wigmore Street.

Funding in future years was re-allocated to other projects as part of TfL’s annual Business Plan update. The Rotherhithe to Canary Wharf crossing was already in the TfL Business Plan and did not receive additional funding as a result of the cancellation of Oxford Street.

If this is not the information you are looking for please feel free to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
