I would like to make a Freedom of Information request for the details of
how many incorrect Congestion Charge payments have been received with
requests for refunds since the introduction of ULEZ & LEZ's to you online
system.
In addition I would like you to detail how much money has been made by TfL as a result of this

Thank you for your revised request which we received on 28 April 2022 asking for information about Congestion Charge payments.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy.
Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested. When motorists pay the Congestion Charge it is they who enter the vehicle registration and the date of the journey for which they are paying for. We have no way of identifying whether the payee has entered the correct details.
In light of this we do not know how many incorrect charges may have been purchased or how much money may have been received from incorrect charge payments.
In accordance with the Congestion Charging Scheme Order, daily charge payments are non-refundable. We do not record information on the number of charge refund requests we have received on the grounds that the charge was paid in error.
