The information I wish to obtain is the average speed across London Underground tube lines within zone 1. I have tried to search through your websites as well as the travel in London report 11. However, I still could not find the relevant information. Additionally, I have tried using the open request (freedom of information) website too but it isn’t giving constructive response.
Essentially I’m trying to capture the invehicle travel time within London zone 1 for the 3 different modes: bus, car and tube. I have found bus’s information through the iBus data published and extracted some useful car speed from Uber movement platform. However, it would be great and useful if TfL has gathered such information. Thanks!

Thank you for your email received by us on 5 April 2019 asking for information about the average speed across London Underground lines within Zone One.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require.
The information you asked for is available on our website using the following link to our London Underground Working Timetables. Please refer to page two of any timetable, which lists the distance between every pair of stations and the scheduled off-peak running time. Speed data can be obtained by dividing distance by running time accordingly.
