Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 7 April 2017 asking for information about the number of licensed taxi vehicles in London.

 

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our Information Access Policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you have requested. You asked for:

 

“Monthly numbers of Licensed Taxi Vehicles in the London area since June 2012 to the latest month available.”

 

See the attached file ‘0067 - Active taxi vehicles by period since 2012’ which contains this information.

 

Please note that we record this data by financial period, there are 13 period in each financial year. The additional attachment ‘Financial Period Dates.pdf’ provides a list of the dates for each period as a guide.
