TfL is committed to being fully representative of London through achieving diversity of its workforce and having an inclusive culture and working practices. We continuously strive towards improving diversity in an industry that is traditionally more highly represented by men than women.
We publish annually our Diversity and Inclusion Impact report which includes the progress on meeting the workforce diversity. There is reference in this report on actions taken by TfL to increase diversity specifically within operational roles on page 42. This resulted in an increase to 35 per cent of Train Operator hires being women, compared to 30 per cent the previous year.
