Despite what you may think, finance is not just about crunching the numbers. A key role for all finance professionals is communicating with others, in and out of the finance area. Management accountants play a vital role in managing business opportunities and using evidence to develop dynamic solutions. We use information of all kinds, not just financial, to inform the strategy and help manage the future of the business. Finance is about looking beyond numbers and spreadsheets to add real value to a company.
On the Finance apprenticeship scheme, you'll work with experienced professionals who establish and maintain financial policies and manage information systems. This role combines accounting skills, effective management and the ability to convey information to financial and non-financial management in a concise manner.

Placements on this apprenticeship are split into four, six-month placements which may be in any of the following areas:
On this varied and challenging apprenticeship, you'll gain a level 4 Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) certificate in Business Accounting and a level 4 diploma in Business Accounting Practice. You'll need strong communications skills as well as the ability to work with all kinds of people.
You will be supported by a scheme sponsor and a buddy, and receive mentoring from one of our senior managers. Through a combination of on-the-job learning and classroom training, you'll gain experience and further your knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in finance.
This apprenticeship could lead to business sponsorship to progress onto the full CIMA qualification to become a CGMA (Chartered Global Management Accountant).
On successful completion of the apprenticeship you could move into a finance officer, divisional accountant or analyst role, with a career path into management accounting, finance manger and then senior manager roles.
