Our project, Walk London, is launching Spring into Summer - 45 free guided walks covering London's seven top walking routes. All walks are designed to connect some of London's best attractions, parks, woodland, rivers, canals and open spaces.
London is a fantastic city to explore by foot, with many hidden gems just waiting to be discovered. Walking is also proven to reduce stress, and is a simple way to improve your physical health. The free guided walks are perfect for singles, couples, families, or groups who want to discover what's on London's doorstep - culturally, historically and environmentally.
Family walks include the popular Animal I-Spy in the City, a gentle stroll searching for dragons, lions, unicorns, and Goodnight Mister Tom, inspired by the much loved book.
Our new design-themed walk, the Bakerloo Line, features Oscar Wilde, Arthur Conan Doyle and the Marlboro Man. This is a special led walk to celebrate our Transported by Design programme, which is running throughout 2016.
The Locks, Barges and Country Houses walk from Richmond takes you along the Thames to Osterley House and Twin Peaks on the Capital Ring. It's a walk to get your heart pumping but includes rewarding views of London.
Because of the popularity of our walking weekends, we've introduced a new online booking system to the Spring into Summer walks. Reserve your place on a walk now.
Walk London offers high quality walking routes for everyone to use and enjoy. The project also supports our vision to promote walking for many daily journeys.
The Spring into Summer weekend is organised by Walk Unlimited and funded by TfL. All walks start and finish at, or are within easy reach of public transport facilities.
