Working with you to deliver safer and healthier streets
The Mayor's Transport Strategy sets out a target of 80% of all trips in London to be made by public transport, walking or cycling by 2041.
Improving safety
Since 2018, we have been working in partnership with the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), to deliver the Vision Zero Action Plan. The plan details our programmes to reduce road danger across the roads we manage and operate across London, including our plans to reduce the speed limit by 10mph on more than 140km of our road network.
We have a continuous improvement and projects programme dedicated to improving services, such as Tube, buses, London Overground, DLR, Elizabeth Line, trams, roads and Cycleways.
Healthier streets
Our Healthy Streets plan sets out how we are prioritising walking and cycling, improving air quality and reducing congestion to help create a healthier environment for communities living and working in the city.
For example, we are working in partnership with London boroughs and the City of London to increase rapid charging points across the capital.
Sustainability
We are committed to playing our part to achieve the Mayor of London's goal of making London carbon neutral by 2030 and helping create a greener, biodiverse city that is resilient and well adapted to climate change. Our Sustainability Report sets out our approach to do this in a financially sustainable way.
Our Borough surveys and action plans
To help us improve our partnership with our borough stakeholders we regularly run a survey. The feedback is very important to us so we create an action plan following each survey. The plan sets out our commitment on specific improvements as a business over a two-year period.
Contacting us
Street care
If you, or one of your residents, notices something that needs to be fixed such as a streetlight, bus stop or pavement, please report these via our web tool, Streetcare.
This easy-to-use tool shows if the road is owned by us or by your borough. If the fault is on a borough road, report the issue on the Fix my Street website, which directly logs the fault with your borough officers, so it can be resolved quicker.
For councillors and borough officers
The Local Communities and Partnerships (LCP) team is here to help London's boroughs navigate Transport for London, answering questions about our policies, projects and programmes and making sure their voice is heard in our decision-making.
Each borough has been given the name of a dedicated LCP contact to manage their relationship with us.
Tackling road danger
You can report road incidents or concerns to Roadsafe London. If you are concerned about speeding, your officers may be able to request enforcement from the Metropolitan Police Roads and Transport Policing Command.
