CARSHALTON ROAD/SUTTON: Buses running through Sutton are experiencing delays of up to 45 minutes due to planned gas works and additional heavy traffic in the area.

CHARING CROSS ROAD BUS LANE: From 0001 Saturday 10 January 2009 until further notice, Routes 14 (towards Putney Heath), N5 and N20 (towards Trafalgar Square) will be diverted between Bloomsbury Street and Cambridge Circus via Shaftesbury Avenue (serving additional stops), but not serving Tottenham Court Road Station. This is due to major station upgrade works.

CHARING CROSS ROAD BUS LANE: From 0001 Saturday 10 January 2009 until further notice, Routes 19 (towards Battersea), 38 (towards Victoria), N19 (towards Clapham Junction), N38 (towards Victoria) and N41 (towards Trafalgar Square) will be diverted between High Holborn and Cambridge Circus via Shaftesbury Avenue (serving additional stops), but not serving Tottenham Court Road Station. This is due to major station upgrade works.

CHARING CROSS ROAD BUS LANE: From 0001 Saturday 10 January 2009 until further notice, Routes 24 29 N29 and N279 will be diverted between Bloomsbury Street and Charing Cross Road via St Giles High Street (serving a new Stop S for Tottenham Court Road Station). This is due to major station upgrade works.

CHARING CROSS ROAD, SOUTHBOUND: Due to the building of a kerb extension routes 24, 29, 176, N29 and N279 are being diverted southbound with minor delays from 0730 Saturday 7 until 1800 Sunday 8 November.

CHICHELY STREET SE1: From 0800 Monday 2 November to 1700 Tuesday 1 December routes 77 and RV1 will have severe delays while water main replacement takes place between York Road and Belvedere Road. Bus stop Y (London Eye) will be suspended during this work.

CHINGFORD ROAD, E17: From 0800 Monday 19 October until Sunday 24 January, routes 34 97 215 357 and N26 will be subject to delays at the junction with Knebworth Avenue, as a result of lane restrictions, bus lane closures and temporary traffic lights in operation due to gas works.

CHIPSTEAD VALLEY ROAD, CR5: Due to gas main renewal work, routes 166 434 and 866 are subject to serious delays from 0800 Monday 27 July until Friday 4 December.

CHISLEHURST ROAD, PETTS WODD, BR5: Until further notice routes 61 273 and 661 will be subject to delays and diversions at the junction with Marlings Close as a result of a road closure due to a weak bridge.

Buses will be unable to serve Tooley Street in the westbound direction and will be diverted via Tanner Street, Druid Street, Crucifix Lane, St Thomas Street and Stainer Street to Tooley Street.

TWICKENHAM STADIUM: From 1330 to 1730 on Saturday 7 November routes 267 281 and 481 will be diverted with severe delays due to the rugby match at the stadium. Route 281 will operate a special service with some buses diverted and others running between Tolworth and the Albany Stand at Twickenham.
