Times Top 100...

I studied BSc Information Systems at Brunel.  Having completed a one year industrial university placement at the Greater London Authority, I was aware of the work TfL does to meet the Mayor's objectives in keeping London moving.

While applying for graduate schemes in my final academic year, I noticed TfL was consistently listed in the Times Top 100. The scheme grasped my attention as I was particularly interested in working for an innovative organisation that would provide me with constant challenges and varied opportunities.

Large network of relationships...

During the two-year scheme, I completed six placements across the business. These consisted of roles gaining in-depth experience in Business Analysis, Project and Service Level Management. This included me being able to undertake an external placement at the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden.

The scheme provided me with great training opportunities, gaining certifications in professional IT courses - an excellent career development opportunity that none of my fellow university colleagues have yet to receive.

The main benefit that I have gained from completing the graduate scheme is through being an integral part of different teams over two years, forming a large network of working relationships across TfL.

Constantly Learning...

Since completing the graduate scheme, I am now an Applications Business Analyst. My professional development has continued, constantly learning new technical skills and facing new challenges.

Working for IM provides a great opportunity to observe how the business is operationally supported, to meet customer expectations and keep London moving. I would highly recommend the IM graduate scheme to individuals who would like to start their professional career in the IT sector.
