Delivery Servicing Plans

Loading

A Delivery and Servicing Plan (DSP) will help your organisation to better manage deliveries and could save you money.

DSPs also help reduce CO2 emissions, congestion and collisions.

Download our guidance document on developing a DSP (PDF 4.9MB).

About DSPs

A DSP gives you a framework to make sure that freight vehicle activity to and from your building is working effectively. A DSP will help your organisation:

  • Manage deliveries to reduce the number of trips, particularly during peak hours
  • Identify where safe and legal loading can take place
  • Commission delivery companies who can demonstrate their commitment to best practice - for example, members of TfL's Freight Operator Recognition Scheme

Benefits

As well as benefiting your organisation, a DSP has advantages for your suppliers and the local community. It will help you to:
  • Save time and money
  • Reduce the environmental impact of your organisation
  • Improve the safety of delivery and servicing activity at your site
  • Cut congestion in the local area
  • Ensure your organisation is reliably supplied during planned events, such as the 2012 Games

See our Case Study (PDF 361KB) to find out how TfL benefited from implementing DSP for one of our buildings.
