Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 09 May 2024 asking for information about e-bikes.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. 

I can confirm that we do hold some of the information you require. You asked:

I would be grateful if you could send me all information you hold on the technical specifications of Lime's 'Gen4' e-bikes, including the motor wattage and whether the e-assist cuts out when the bikes reach the legal maximum speed of 15.5mph. 

I would also like to have sight of any agreements that TfL, as highway authority for the TLRN, has entered into with Lime.

TfL does not hold the requested information as we do not hold any agreements with Lime for e-bikes. At present, dockless e-bike services are not regulated by TfL therefore we, and the Mayor of London, have no influence on how these services are run and operators have no requirement to share data about their services.
